Blair Rackett

Blair Rackett began her dance training at age 6. She trained under several amazing teachers throughout her childhood years. Her performance achievements include dancing in the Hula Bowl, numerous regional and national awards, Broadway tap scholarship winner, and production soloist. Upon graduating high school, she attended Georgia College and State University where she was a member of the university’s dance team. While obtaining a degree in psychology, Blair began her dance instructing career. She worked as a dance instructor at a local studio and also choreographed for many dance and cheer teams across Georgia during her college years. After graduating, Blair saw a need for a dance studio in the Metter community. Studio South-Metter opened its doors in fall of 2004. Since then, Blair has choreographed numerous original works. She has received regional and national choreography awards and has choreographed national winning routines. She has most recently partnered with Jennifer Bland to open Studio South - Glennville. Blair is involved in community enhancement. She has worked with outreach and dance enrichment programs within the Candler and Evans county schools system, and she has choreographed several pieces for community events. She has been a board member and talent scholarship sponsor for the Miss Georgia Organization. Blair resides in Metter, Georgia with her husband Zach and her daughters Lily and Molly, who both dance at Studio South. Other than dance, her passion is her family. When she is not at the studio, she enjoys going to the lake, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. Blair is excited to continue sharing her love of dance with her students

  • Logan McElveen

    CO-COMPANY DIRECTOR & APPRENTICE PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    Logan McElveen has danced since the age of 3 years old. She trained at multiple studios and then under the faculty of Studio South Dance Academy where she found her love for all types of dance. She began dancing competitively and was quickly recognized for her talent. She received awards on the regional and national levels and has been a featured dancer in national competitions. As a high school student, she fell in love with teaching dance by assisting in classes. She has assisted the SSDA staff as well as other choreographers. Upon graduation, she joined the staff of Studio South as a full time faculty member. Since then, Logan has graduated college and been a full time instructor and choreographer for five years. Over the years Logan has made a name for herself as a choreographer, receiving several regional and national choreography awards and teaching master classes. She has choreographed for and worked with studios around Georgia. Her favorite styles of dance are Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Jazz. Logan enjoys working with students and pushing them to new heights in technique, skill, and choreography. Logan’s goal is to instill a love for dance and passion in every dancer she meets.

  • Delanie O'Brien

    INSTRUCTOR

    Delanie O’Brien is a Studio South Dance Academy alumni graduating Metter High School in May of 2021. She has danced with Studio South Dance Academy for 14 years, ten of which were on the SSDA competitive dance team. She competed in several region and national dance competitions and collected many awards along the way. During this time, Delanie found her strength and passion through the art of dance. She has choreographed dances of her own as well as assisted as a dance apprentice for 3 years along side Blair Rackett and Logan McElveen. Delanie attends Georgia Southern University and is pursuing a degree in Exercise Science. She loves being an inspirational motivator and teacher for young dancers by helping them develop the techniques and skills to take them to the next level of dance performance.

  • Brittany Brockman

    GYMNASTICS COACH

    Brittany began her cheer and gymnastics journey as a young girl. She was a competitive gymnast for 8 plus years. She later moved onto cheerleading and spent 6 plus years competing with Cheer South All-Stars as well as her high school squad. During her cheer career, Brittany's teams won many state and national titles. Brittany coached MMS Cheerleading for 3 years and has been coaching at Studio South for 4 years now. Brittany is currently a teacher assistant at Metter Elementary School and is working to obtain her Bachelors in Elementary Education. She resides in Metter with her daughter, Harper, who dances competitively with Studio South. Her favorite part about teaching gymnastics is being able to do 2 of the things she loves most: spending time sweet kiddos and teaching them tumbling fundamentals and much more.
